What is IP PBX?

IP PBX stands for Internet Protocol Private Branch Exchange and is a voice system within an enterprise that switches calls between VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol or IP) users on local lines. In other words IP PBX is telephone station of the company stored on the server and managed over the internet.

Virtual IP PBX interconnects all office phones into one telephone network. Additional voice services offered with an IP PBX are voicemail. conferences, call queues, etc. Virtual IP PBX is installed on the provider side, and the client gets his voice services over the internet. It is also possible to use mobile phones, but it happens rare.

Internet is used as connecting network for voice transmission when IP PBX is used. This makes installing IP PBX easier and less expensive than installing a usual PBX. IP PBX is a good solution for new companies as well as for companies that use the usual PBX.

One more advantage of the IP PBX is that there are no physical borders. It is possible to connect several offices from different countries into unified voice network.

It is possible to connect a virtual IP PBX to a voice provider in order to be able to make calls on land line and mobile phones.

Virtual IP PBX combines the advantages of VoIP and SaaS. It allows you to create a corporate communication system in an easy, quick and cheap way.
